This show will be available national and internationally from September 2008. It is also Osun Arts Foundation's contribution to Liverpool's European Capital of Culture Celebrations in the UK in 2008.
Pupil Feedback;
"Thank you very much for teaching us the African dances. I really enjoyed learning them. I love trying real African clothes on and dancing in them. You're great teachers and, I hope you'll come back soon,"
Story telling
The African Oral Tradition is one of narration, poetry, proverbs, jokes and riddles. Story telling workshops are designed to be interactive and the stories are dramatised using music, dance, and movements sometimes with masks. Literature from the ancient Yoruba Kingdoms, the Benin Empire, the Ashante, the Hausa, the Fulani, the Shona, the Fantes, the Nok, the Ndebele, the Zulu and Igbo Ukwu cultures are presented to the children.
