This show will be available national and internationally from September 2008. It is also Osun Arts Foundation's contribution to Liverpool's European Capital of Culture Celebrations in the UK in 2008.
Pupil Feedback;
"I enjoyed the drumming as he dancing and the African clothes we wore were really different to ours but they were really comfortable. The dancing we did were complicated at first, but we soon got used to it and with the help of expert teaching we performed wonderfully,"
Mask Making
Mask making and bronze sculpture are probably what Africa is most famous for in the west. We introduce children to representations of African masks and sculpture and help them to make their own masks using paper mache, clay or plaster. These are then painted for exhibition at the end of the project alongside all their artwork.
